BOOKING
You want to go on a road trip, but you don’t know what to choose between campervan or rooftop tent? Here are some tips to help you choose well.
The campervan, more spacious than a van, offers you the same comfort as home, it is a house on wheels. Hot water, kitchen with oven and hotplates, hot shower, toilets, separate sleeping areas, storage… A bit like a motorhome, but much more manageable to move around easily even in small villages.
The rooftop tent is mounted on your car, you leave with your car and your habits. It offers sleeping space for the whole family and allows you to spend nights in wonderful places. It folds/unfolds very quickly and guarantees top sleeping comfort thanks to its mattress and under-mattress. The other advantage of the roof tent is its cost, more economical than a van, it is ideal for small budgets or to provide additional sleeping space on your van.
If you cancel your stay more than 1 month before the departure date, the reservation deposit will be refunded to you.
On the other hand, if you decide to cancel your reservation less than 1 month before departure, the reservation costs will not be refunded to you.

You get the keys and we go around the vehicle together for the inventory. After a few explanations on how it works and exchanges of practical advice, you’re ready for the adventure.

Here is the equipment included in the rent of each campervan :

- camping table and seating for 4 people

- kitchen equipment (tableware, plates, glasses…)
In addition to the equipment, just to leave with peace of mind, the campervans are rented with a full fuel tank, the water and LPG filled for the concerned campervans.
Rooftop tents
Congratulations, you have just validated the first step of your next memories.
A few days before your stay you will receive an email with the list of “essentials” when traveling in a rooftop tent.
On D-Day, come with your car equipped with roof bars and we will mount the tent. You recover the equipment if you have opted for the “comfort” pack. After a few explanations on how it works and an exchange of practical advice, you are ready to adventure.

Yes ! Rooftop tents can be mounted onto any vehicle besides convertibles which do not have a hardtop. You just need to have roof bars to fix the tent on.
There are several configurations for the roof bars depending on your vehicle, all compatible with the installation of a rooftop tent.
- Roof rails : if your car is equipped with roof rails, you will have to install roof bars.
- fixpoint system: your car is equipped with specific anchor points, often placed under a protective plastic cover, on the edges of the roof, at door level, you will then need to install a fixing kit
- clamping system: if there is no roof rails or fixpoint system, you will need to install bars with clamp fixings which are installed at the level of the door when it is open.
The maximum width of the roof tent is 160 cm, it will not exceed the width of your car with mirrors, even on a Fiat 500!
Car roofs are designed to support their weight in the event of an accident if the car rolls over. Which means that if your car weighs 1 T, the roof of it can support 1 T. Unless you invite a dozen rugby buddies to your tent, we’re good!
On the other hand, the roof bars have a maximum weight indicated. This weight corresponds to the maximum load authorized while driving. This weight varies according to the models of roof bars between 50 and more than 100 kg. When stationary, the roof bars provide ample support for the roof tent, accessories and passengers.
Our tents weigh between 70 and 90 kg depending on the model chosen . Do not hesitate to contact us if you need advice on choosing roof bars.
We have chosen these tent models for their quality and robustness. It has nothing to do with a camping tent that you put on the ground. The roof tent has a rigid floor, is completely waterproof and protects you from the elements.
Our tents have aerodynamic shapes and a lower height compared to a roof box. This limits air friction and therefore excess fuel consumption (approximately +1 L/100 km).
Practical information
The campervan or rooftop tent must be returned in the same state of cleanliness as when you picked it up at the agency. That is to say perfect inside and outside.
If you have subscribed to the “Return cleaning package” option, you return the campervan or rooftop tent in a “normal and daily” state of interior cleanliness. The exterior cleaning and interior finishing will then be provided by our little hands.
In the event that an extraordinary and abusive state of dirtiness is found, we reserve the right to charge additional return costs.
Rental is possible from the age of 25 with a 3-year permit.
Animals are not allowed in campervans and rooftop tents for health and safety reasons.
